Starting in Nairobi the tour heads for Nakuru National Park camping our first night on the fringes of the National park in a conservancy area. Next morning we explore the Nakuru National park, giving you a very good chance of seeing leopard and rhino. CAMPING |

Crossing the border into Tanzania we camp near or on the shores of Lake Victoria. We make our way to the Serengeti National Park, where we stay one night and go for afternoon and morning game drives. CAMPING |

Leaving the Serengeti around noon, we drive up the escarpment to the lush vegetation of the Ngorongoro Crater, spending the night on the outskirts of a town near the crater rim. CAMPING |

| 6 - 7 |
Next day we do a half-day game drive in 4x4 vehicles into the crater itself, returning to our campsite for a late lunch and heading off to Arusha, spending the night in a campsite outside Arusha with a view of Mount Meru. Next morning we have a relaxing start after all our early mornings and head into Arusha for curio shopping at the ebony market or do a spot of emailing before heading off to camp the night in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. The following day is a long drive to Dar-es-Salaam, passing though many African villages. That night we camp on a beach on the outskirts of Dar. CAMPING |

| 9 - 12 |
Thereafter you have 4 nights (5 days) to explore the island of Zanzibar at your leisure. Take in the sights, sounds and intricate winding streets of Stone Town and its people, join a spice tour, swim with Dolphins at the southern tip of the island or just soak up the sun. BUNGALOW ACCOMMODATION |

Returning to the mainland we camp in Dar that night before setting out for the Tanzanian Highlands. CAMPING

The drive to Malawi takes us through interesting landscapes. We spend a night camping in the highlands of Tanzania before descending into the basin of Lake Malawi. CAMPING |

During the next 4 days on the lakeshore, you have the opportunity to visit local African villages, interact with the villagers scuba dive in the lake or just relax on the sandy beaches and swim in the fresh water. CAMPING |

| 16 - 18 |
Today we head further south on the lake shore to the picturesque village of Kande. Participate in some of the many watersports on offer. Horse riding also available. Visit a local village and sample the local cuisine. Relax on the beautiful beaches. CAMPING |

| 19 |
Today we head south to the town of Lilongwe, where you will have the opportunity to do some curio shopping. Crew stocks up with supplies. CAMPING |

| 20 - 21 |
Heading south again the Zomba Plateau is our next destination. Here we spend two nights at a forest campsite. Many walking and photography opportunities. Walking in this forest area gives you the chance to photograph the unique scenery. CAMPING

Leaving the cooler climes of the plateau we travel back towards Lilongwe where you can shop briefly while your crew stock up with provisions before we head to Zambia for our overnight stop. CAMPING |

| 23 - 24 |
A short drive takes us to South Luangwa National Park. This is one of the best national parks in Africa and leopard sightings are quite common. Here we have time for a morning and evening game drive in the park and an early morning walk on the fringes of the park while camping on the banks of the Luangwa River. CAMPING |

Leaving this beautiful valley behind us we drive through the interior of Zambia spending the night on the Luangwa River once again. CAMPING |

Continuing our drive we pass through the capital of Zambia, Lusaka and onto Livingstone, arriving in the afternoon. CAMPING |

Arriving at Victoria Falls you have the opportunity to do any number of the adrenaline activities on offer in your own time. We suggest that you spend a few extra days in the area at the end of your tour with us. On your last day with us we take you to view the spectacular Victoria Falls and end the tour with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. |

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU WANT MORE TIME IN THE FALLS YOU NEED TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHT DEPARTURE FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER TEH END OF OUR TOUR. Accommodation is available at the lodge/campsite where we stay. Walk-in bedded tents are available at approx US$50 per tent or chalets at US$90 per chalet. More information on these is available on request. |
